Hit-O-Meter added 10/5/2009

This page will list all of the gear that our band members use.
This will be everything from guitars, to keyboards to amplifiers and pedals.
This page is currently under construction
but we will get back to it from time to time for all of you gear heads.
I'll add things as I get the information from the band members so come back often.

As you may notice, the only equipment listed is for band leader/keyboardist/vocalist

Richard Young.

That is because R66 has recently undergone major personnel changes. Also other members of the band have either changed or updated their equipment.

Information on the other band members and their equipment will become available soon.

Richard Young plays a vintage 1957 Hammond C3 and 147 Leslie in the rehearsal / recording studio. The 147 Leslie is driven by a vintage Leslie "combo" pedal for hands free speed switching of the Leslie. Richard also plays his first keyboard, a Yamaha DX7, and a recently acquired Roland JW-50.

For gigs Richard plays a 1955 Hammond B3 with a 147 Leslie as well as the Yamaha DX7.

A 1952 Hammond B2 is in the shop of Hammond Wizzard, in the process of being converted to a B3 with the addition of a Trek II percrussion unit, smooth drawbars instead of the old "ratchet" drawbars will be provided by Smooth Move, also added will be a custom built reverb and distortion pedal. At larger venues, Richard will play through two matched, two speed, custom built Leslies with converted 55C Leslie amplifiers. The 55C Leslie amps have a standard 40 watt amp for the main channel running a pair of 6550 output tubes. The second channel will be the reverb channel driving two high power 6"X9" speakers on each side of each of the two Leslies. The reverb speakers will be driven by the second channel of the 55C Leslie amp which runs a pair of 6973 output tubes. This beautiful B2 looks exactly identical to the world famous B3 and is actually in better physical condition than Richards' living room 1955 B3. For smaller venues, Richard plays a Yamaha DX-7 and uses the studio 147 Leslie running through a vintage Leslie combo pedal for hands free speed switching of the Leslie
